DP9 EQUAL Development Partnership Agreement
1. Introduction and Statement of Agreement
The following is a list of all organisations that have committed to working together to achieve the aim of DP9 EQUAL :
" To design and implement an occupational guidance strategy with the Department of Social and Family Affairs, our target groups, and other agencies, in the Midlands Region "
- Westmeath Employment Pact
- Dept of Social Community and Family Affairs
- National Counselling Institute of Ireland
- Westmeath Community Development
The strategy will be executed on a regional basis. It will focus on a 'systems change' to the current response to the European Employment Guidelines.
The objectives used within the strategy will be :
- I. To build the capacity of partner organisations to create a 'systems change' in response to the European Employment Guidelines,
- II. To pilot an intervention with the DSFA; an occupational guidance strategy for clients beginning to make an unemployment payment application with a particular focus on younger people with little or no employment experience and people parenting alone.
- III. To develop tools to assist individual, occupational progression plans to integrate the unemployed to labour market measures .
- IV. To develop and maintain a strong trans-national partnership based on knowledge and learning.
- V. To disseminate lessons learned and impact on policy making/ makers.
